Recent Poll Results: Consumers Want Hi-Tech Toys for their Cars

While you most likely know that having the latest and most innovative technology is not only appealing, it is also something that people are willing to wait for and pay more for?
This is also true when it comes to the automotive industry.
The offerings of consumer electronics are quickly becoming quite a spectacle in this industry thanks to new technology demands. In fact, most auto industry analysts are utilizing this data and demand to offer what consumers want – and more importantly what they are willing to spend more money for.
Half of the people who were recently surveyed in a poll by AUTOTRADER.COM's 2015 Car Tech Impact Study, based on research conducted online on its behalf by HARRIS POLL stated that they are willing to wait almost a full 12 months in order to get the must-have features in the next vehicle purchase they make, with over half also stating that they will pay almost $1,500 more for these features. Some of the features that are topping the list of what most consumers want includes, wireless charging devices, USB charging ports and, of course, the backup camera.
The Backup Camera
The backup camera system is appealing due to the many features it offers. These devices increase road safety while allowing drivers to utilize one of the most sought after gadgets for their vehicle.
Another study showed that as many as 25 percent of all accidents occurred when a driver was backing up and 75 percent of these could have been prevented if a backup camera had been installed.
It is also important to note that this backup camera technology is not limited to just passenger vehicles. In fact, these cameras are being utilized for a number of different types of vehicles including RVs, dump trucks, and even houseboats and forklifts. In many cases, adding these cameras to your vehicle can save individuals and business owners money on their assets.
