3 Essentials For Extreme Weather Survival
Chances are, you’ve turned on the news in recent weeks only to be bombarded with stories about “record breaking” weather events.
Whether it be flooding, massive thunderstorms, floods, or extreme heat, it seems that extreme weather conditions have been ramping up lately (and just think, hurricane season isn’t even here yet!).
Here at Rear View Safety, we believe it’s better to be prepared for Mother Nature than to be surprised by her, and these products are just some of the ways we try to plan ahead when it comes to facing the elements and the havoc they wreak.
After all, who wants wet, stalled-out, dysfunctional equipment when it counts the most?
BACKUP CAMERA SYSTEM WITH INTEGRATED REAR SENSORS
A hard downpour is difficult to see through, so improving visibility is important. This system’s waterproof sensors don’t only provide audio alerts, but display the distance behind your vehicle on the monitor as well. Its waterproof backup camera is great for eliminating blindspots and comes with an IP69K rating, a very high level of protection against foreign objects and water. Rain or floodwater doesn’t stand a chance, and your overall visibility is significantly improved. Bring it on Mother Nature!
BACKUP CAMERA SYSTEM WITH HEATED CAMERA
Yes, we know it’s the dead of summer right now, and yes, we still think this is essential, especially for those in the northern-most states and the midwest. Extreme weather (be it harsh heat or heavy rain) in the warmer months contributes to wear and tear, as contraction and expansion erode any surface. When combined with white-out conditions, and black ice in colder months, weather-beaten roads can be your worst nightmare in colder months.
This rugged little system comes with a heated backup camera for super-cold conditions, 50 ft of night vision capability, and it is completely waterproof with an IP69K rating.
If things get really bad and you have no choice but to be out on the road, then waterproof flood lights are a MUST. Mounting just two of these on your vehicle can give you 30 ft of vision! Just one of these gives you up to 1,675 Lm of light, which can make a dramatically life-saving difference in a particularly bad situation. These are a must for nights with heavy downpours.
